The Smiths’ source for Jubanladace is Scot’s Discourse Concerning Devils and Spirits (Quinn, p. 110; Scot, p. 43). The central disk of the “Jehovah, Jehovah, Jehovah” parchment has four Maltese crosses and a Latin phrase as suggested by Reginald Scot (Scot, 1665, p. 139).
